Internal Product Review
The MLP100B-0030-FT-N0CN-NNNN is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat synchronous linear motor with liquid cooling and a 1785 N continuous nominal force. A 3000 N maximum force and 70 m/min nominal velocity give this motor excellent authority and responsiveness in demanding linear axes. Thermo-encapsulation further strengthens thermal consistency, making this model a very capable linear motor package.

Product Description:
The MLP100B-0030-FT-N0CN-NNNN primary section is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MLP Synchronous Linear Motors series. This liquid-cooled synchronous linear motor converts drive current directly into axial thrust without rotary-to-linear mechanics. That direct-drive layout removes couplings and screw mechanisms, supporting precise positioning on pick-and-place axes, gantry stages, and high-speed machining tables in automated production lines where rapid travel and repeatable motion are required.
Under continuous duty the mover delivers a thrust of 1785 N when supplied with its rated current of 5.1 A. This output follows from the force constant of 352.40 N/A, so each ampere of phase current generates roughly 352 N of drive force. When driven up to the maximum force of 3000 N, the carriage can still reach a velocity of 30 m/min, while the nominal no-load speed is 70 m/min. The voltage constant of 203.4 Vs/m indicates the back-EMF per meter per second and the DC-bus level required for planned top speeds. Peak operation draws 9.7 A, and a winding inductance of 137.0 mH together with a phase resistance of 26.4 Ω shape current rise time and thermal loading.
The thermal design relies on liquid cooling; a 0.164 l internal duct circulates coolant at 1.9 l/min with only 0.5 bar pressure drop, removing the 1300 W of losses produced at continuous load. The mover mass is 23.3 kg, and the unit uses size 100 with length code B, so mounting inertia stays moderate for multi-head gantries. A static attractive force of 8000 N acts toward the iron secondary track, so rail stiffness and bearing preload must absorb this load. Wiring exits through the front of the housing, the coils are sealed by a thermo-encapsulation method, and no encoder is installed, so an external linear scale is required for feedback.
