The MLP070A-0300-FS-N0CN-NNNN primary section is a synchronous linear motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MLP Synchronous Linear Motors series. Designed for direct thrust along a machine axis, it replaces rotary motors and transmission elements in gantry stages, pick-and-place modules, and other high-speed automation. Its moving primary works with a flat secondary track to generate linear motion without gears, belts, or ball screws, which helps reduce backlash and wear. Because thrust is created directly at the axis, the system can respond quickly to reversals and short indexing moves while eliminating several mechanical parts that would otherwise need periodic adjustment.

The motor provides a continuous force of 550 N, and heat from sustained loading is removed by liquid cooling so the winding can remain within its thermal range in the compact A-length format. This cooling method supports repeated high-duty cycles and helps keep the mover compact even when the axis is carrying process tooling. For dynamic motion, the drive can supply up to 55 A, and the axis can reach 300 m/min during high-speed travel. Short bursts up to 2000 N support acceleration and breakaway demand when the moving load or process force rises briefly.

Feedback is handled externally because no encoder is installed, and the front cable exit helps align moving cables with the machine layout. An external measuring system can be selected to match the required travel length and control resolution without adding feedback hardware inside the motor. The 070 size platform uses winding code 0300 and requires an operating current of 10.5 A. The assembly is sealed to IP65, the slider can maintain 450 m/min under nominal duty, and the housing uses stainless steel and titanium alloy materials for resistance to washdown conditions and chemically aggressive areas.
