The MKE118D-035-BP0-KUN belongs to the MKE Synchronous Motors series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is a servo motor for hazardous locations and is used to drive controlled rotary axes in process equipment and other machinery installed where flammable gases may be present. A UL/CSA-approved housing and flameproof construction allow the motor to be used in North American automation systems that require certified ignition protection. This configuration supports closed-loop motion control while meeting the installation needs of protected industrial environments.

The 035 winding carries a continuous phase current of 29.8 A at a 60 K temperature rise and produces a standstill torque of 48.0 Nm. A torque constant of 1.87 Nm/A gives the drive a direct relationship between phase current and output torque. An IP65 rating protects the motor against dust and water jets, and operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to +40 °C without derating. The motor weighs 65.0 kg and is rated for continuous duty at shaft speeds up to 3000 rpm. Power connections are arranged at the top of the terminal box, and the shaft includes a seal to help protect the bearing area.
