The MKE118D-012-CP3-KE6 servo motor is a Rexroth Indramat industrial motor with a brushless design, which makes use of the electronic commutator, and a low inertia mass to generate a fast startup. Its housing unit is of protection class according to IP65 for resistance against dust and light rain. It is designed to be used in explosive areas and for outdoor use. Special ball bearings are integrated at the output shaft of this industrial motor, these brearings increase the durability of the motor by reducing the frictional wear at the motor's shaft. These ball bearings have a lifespan of about 3000 hours, however this can reduce significantly if the motor is overloaded.
The MKE118D-012-CP3-KE6 servo motor has a high capacity output shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885, sheet 1, version 08-1968, which permits the firm-fitting transmission of torques with constant direction. The keyway is fitted with a complete key that minimizes deflections in the transmission of torques. The output shaft of this motor also has a sealing ring that prevents leakages of oil from the internal to the external environment, serving as a form of preservation for lubricant and reducing friction.
