Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth MKE118D-012-BG0-KUN is a servo motor with 2000 RPM maximum speed rating. The continuous and maximum motor torque ratings are 48 Nm and 187 Nm respectively. The motor is part of the MKE product line and is designed according to the UL standard. The cable entry on the motor is designed according to the US standard. According to the motor type code, the frame size of the motor is 118 millimeters, the frame length is D and the winding code is 012. The motor shaft is smooth and has a sealing ring. The purpose of the shaft sealing ring is to protect the motor bearing from dust and moisture. It is one of the factors which contributes to the IP65 protection rating of the motor housing. This protection rating indicates that the motor is fully dust tight and is also safe from low-pressure water jets.
The IP65 rating of the MKE118D-012-BG0-KUN and the special housing design allow the motor to be used for applications in hazardous locations where there is a potential for explosions. The IP rating also allows the motor to be mounted outside a cabinet: it be can installed very near the working machinery.
