The MKE118D-012-AP0-KE6 servo motor is a highly functional electric motor, with a brushless AC design, with permanent magnet fields producing ultimate performance in a sleek body frame, designed according to the European ATEX standard by the Rexroth Indramat. Its housing is insulated against the internal heat flux; it is designed according to the IP65 protection class to prevent the influx of water and dust from the atmosphere. Its shaft is designed with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1, balanced with a complete key to ensuring an absolute unidirectional flow of current with minimal deflection. The output shaft also has shaft sealing which prevent outflux to the environment.
The MKE118D-012-AP0-KE6 uses an optical encoder, which is simpler and works at a faster velocity. The incremental system combines its inherent ability to measure intervals of rotation with a simple zero-position sensor to set their position at start-up, giving a swift, easy startup. The electrical connection is made through a 1.9-meter cable to the shaft for a continuous unidirectional transmission of a maximum current of 58.5 amperes to generate a rotor speed of 2,000 radii per minute.
