The MKE118B-058-DG0-KE4 is a servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MKE Synchronous Motors series. It is designed for use in potentially explosive areas and uses an ATEX-compliant housing, so it can drive positioning axes in paint booths, chemical mixers, or other zones where combustible gases may be present. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, which keeps rotating mass and inertia lower for applications that do not require mechanical load holding at standstill.

The 058 winding delivers a continuous shaft current of 28.4 A at standstill and produces a stall torque of 28.0 Nm for static load holding. When higher acceleration is needed, the drive can supply up to 127.6 A, allowing the motor to reach a maximum torque of 102.0 Nm. The motor reaches a maximum speed of 4500 rpm. Phase resistance is 2.20 Ω and phase inductance is 0.170 mH, which affect current response and control-loop behavior. Position feedback comes from an optical multi-turn absolute EnDat 2.1 encoder with 2,048 increments, giving the drive accurate rotor position information during motion and after power cycling.

The plain shaft includes a frontal centering hole, a DIN 332 DS thread, and a shaft seal to limit lubricant escape.
