The MKE098B-058-AG1-BENN is a servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MKE Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for use in potentially explosive areas, so the housing follows ATEX requirements and the insulation system is rated to class 155 (F). Designed for position-controlled drives in chemical mixers, filling stations, and paint lines, the motor provides closed-loop torque for accurate axis control. Its plain shaft supports direct coupling, and the integrated holding brake keeps the axis secure when power is removed.

At a 60 K winding rise, the motor can supply a continuous torque of 12.0 Nm while drawing a continuous current of 12.4 A. Under peak demand, it can reach 43.5 Nm of torque with a maximum current of 55.9 A, and the 058 winding has a resistance of 5.80 Ω and an inductance of 0.740 mH. Speed control is available up to 5000 rpm, which gives the drive a broad operating range for dynamic motion tasks. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to +40 °C, and the B-side cable exit with terminal box helps simplify wiring in compact enclosures. A discharge capacity of 6.7 nF also supports stable EMC behavior during operation.

The holding brake provides 11 Nm of static torque, and the rotor inertia of 0.00430 kg·m² supports controlled acceleration and deceleration. The motor weighs 18.0 kg without the brake, giving it a solid mechanical presence without making installation overly difficult. The shaft includes a DIN 332 DS thread, a frontal centering hole, and a shaft seal to help limit contaminant ingress. Feedback comes from an optical single-turn Hiperface encoder, model S1, with 128 increments for basic position resolution. Airborne noise remains moderate at 61.8 dB[A] ±3, and the winding has a voltage constant of 70.0 V per 1000 rpm for coordinated operation with standard IndraDrive controllers.
