Classified as a servo motor for potentially explosive areas, it delivers controlled rotary motion to automated valves, mixers, and pick-and-place axes installed in hazardous zones where combustible gas or dust may be present. The frame, terminal enclosure, and feedback interface are sized for compact mounting alongside Rexroth drive controllers, allowing the motor to close the position loop and maintain accurate speed profiles in continuous-duty production lines. Its synchronous design also allows stable response during repeated starts, stops, and speed changes.

The enclosure carries an ingress rating of IP 65, meaning it is dust-tight and resists water jets during washdown cycles.
