MKD112B-048-KP1-BN is a synchronous motor designed by Bosch Rexroth. It is one of the most reputable manufacturers in the industry. It has its headquarters in Germany. One of the crucial characteristics of this MKD112B variation is that it has a resolver encoder type. It features RSF with a built-in multiturn absolute encoder. The drive also has an absolute position detection type within 4096 mechanical rotations. Controlling the unit shouldn’t be a problem thanks to this feature. The motor has a shaft with a keyway that connects the machine elements to the motor shafts. Although it is an optional feature, it is interesting to note that the unit comes with a holding brake of 22Nm. When the motor is not in an energized state, you can use the holding brake to clamp the servo axis because the brake works on the “electrical release” principle.
