The MKD112D-027-KP3-AN is a synchronous motor from the Rexroth Bosch Company that falls under the MKD series of AC motors. In conjunction with digital drive controllers from Rexroth Company, the motor offers a cost-effective automation system that is used in a wide array of applications. They include machine tools, handling equipment, automation machines, printing and paper industries, among others. The MKD112D-027-KP3-AN has permanent magnets that increase torque and it implements electronic commutation. This eliminates the need for brushes making it a maintenance-free AC motor. The neodymium magnet materials enable low inertia masses design ideal for applications that require rapid acceleration and deceleration. In its basic form, it consists of a stator with windings, rotor shaft, motor feedback, windings, and an optional holding brake. The motor can be used as a main or servo motor. It features a 112 motor size, a D motor length, and 027 winding code. It comes with a multiturn absolute encoder, a shaft with key and a shaft sealing ring, and a holding brake with a torque of 70Nm.
