The MKD112D-027-KP0-BN is a motor from the MKD motor series produced by the renowned German technological company, Bosch Rexroth. The MKD112D-027-KP0-BN is very special when compared to other motors of similar quality. It has two standard electric connections which include the power connector (which is responsible for the temperature sensor and the optional holding brake) and the encoder connector also called the feedback connector. The connectors in this motor exist as plug-in connectors unlike other part numbers in the MKD motor series. The functions of these connectors are further enhanced by the provision of cable sets which are not usually part of the complete motor package but can be ordered separately.
The IP65 (international protection 65) feature of the MKD motor series is standardized in such a way that it affords protection against contact, penetration by foreign objects (such as dust and particles) and liquids (even when it is immersed in water or oils). This feature also means the motors can be cleaned with water without fear of damage to the machine. Generally, the MKD motor series could have an optional holding brake depending on the motor length, this feature helps to hold the servo axis whenever the motors are in special states called de-energized states.
Likewise, the MKD112D-027-KP0-BN features two overtemperature (the 60K housing overtemperature and the 100K winding overtemperature), natural convection cooling system that can be assisted with an optional blower unit.
