The MKD112B-048-KG1-RN model is commonly used for several automation purposes due to its continuous power delivery at high speed with extreme precision and accuracy. The MKD synchronous motor is designed to operate at the maximum speed of 4500 rpm while delivering the theoretical maximum torque of 102 Nm at the peak current of 160.2 A. A temperature sensor (PTC) is fixed mounted in the motor winding to protect it from overheating. The MKD synchronous motor can only be used in conjunction with the respective digital intelligent drive controller for high operational reliability. The motor is also supplied with an optional axial/radial blower unit for cooling purposes and the blower operates on the rated voltage of 115 – 230 V with ±10/15 % tolerance. The motor with natural cooling mode operates at the 227/236 V of supply voltage and it delivers the rated torque of 7.7 – 18.1 Nm at the nominal speed of 2800 rpm whereas, the motor operating with a blower unit operates at the supply voltage of 251 V to deliver the rated torque of 30.6 Nm.
The model MKD112B-048-KG1-RN uses a holding brake of 22 Nm to clamp the servo axis during the deceleration state. A multi-turn absolute encoder with resolver feedback is installed in this model for absolute indirect position detection. A plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring is placed in this model for delivering the continuous power of 2.7 – 11 kW at the motor output shaft. The motor housing is protected against IP65 protection standard and it can be mounted into any permissible mounting position.
