The MKD112B-024-KP1-LN is an industrial motor developed by Rexroth Indramat. The main function of the motor is to coverts the electrical energy it receives from the drive controller into mechanical energy that is useful for industrial production systems. The MKD112B-024-KP1-LN is designed with a brushless design, thus unlike the conventional industrial motor series, it features a maintenance-free operation. The shaft in the industrial motor contains a special keyway according to DIN 6885-1, which helps to clamp the shaft firmly to the machine component thus facilitating the smooth transmission of energy between the motor and the industrial machine. Special grease-lubricated bearings are also installed at the motor’s shaft, these bearings reduce surface contact and friction at the motor shaft.
The MKD112B-024-KP1-LN industrial motor the power cable and the motor feedback cable of this drive controller enter the motor's housing through a connection box that faces the left side of the motor, this direction of the motor’s connection box is important as it determines the installation position of the motor. Also, the power connector of the MKD112B-024-KP1-LN includes the special connections for the motor’s temperature sensors and holding brake integrated with the industrial motor. Although the MKD112B-024-KP1-LN motor contains a heatsink and an internal air blower that works together to regulate the temperature in the motor’s housing, operators can be designed to install an additional blower unit which makes the temperature regulation process in and around the motor much more efficient.
