Product Description:

MKD112B-024-KP1-BN is a servo motor. It is designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The motor housing belongs to IP65 category. This means that the motor is dustproof. It also means that the motor is safe from low-pressure water jets. Main rotor shafts on all MKD motors feature a seal that prevents oil leakage and protects motor bearings from dust and other external contaminants. Bearings used on MKD motors are life-time lubricated. This feature, combined with a brushless design, enables maintenance-free motor operation. MKD112 motors support two cooling methods: surface cooling and convection cooling. For low load applications operators can used convection cooling. For high load applications, surface cooling is more suitable as it enables higher output torque and current. However, surface cooling does require installation of an optional blower on the motor for increasing airflow.

Bosch provides axial and radial blowers for MKD112 series motors. Operators can order the blower that suits their requirements. The optimal ambient temperature for MKD motors is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Motor operation with derated output is possible at temperatures between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. Bosch does not permit MKD motor use at temperatures exceeding 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum allowed setup height for MKD motors is 1000 meters. Motor operation with derated output is possible at altitudes between 1000 and 3000 meters. Bosch does not permit MKD motor use at altitudes exceeding 3000 meters. The MKD112B-024-KP1-BN supports resolver feedback. It is equipped with an additional encoder for absolute position detection. The shaft on the motor includes a key. The power connection is towards side B of the motor housing. A 22 Nm rated optional holding brake is also installed on the motor.
