MKD112B-024-KG1-BN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It is designed for industrial applications. Typical MKD motor applications are machine tools, packaging machines, handling and automation and paper industries. MKD motors are permanent-magnet motors that support electronic commutation. The connected drive controller must be programmed before motor startup. Bosch has designed the MKD112B-024-KG1-BN motor for two cooling methods: surface cooling and convection cooling. Additional equipment is not required for convection cooling. However, operators must ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius.
Surface cooling requires installation of a blower on the motor. The blower increases airflow across the motor housing, improves heat dissipation, and enables higher output current and torque. That is why surface cooling is the method of choice for applications with higher load requirements.
