The MKD112A-024-GP1-BN model can only be used in conjunction with the digital intelligent drive controller. The MKD synchronous motor provides easy cabling through an A-side power connector which is located at the top of the motor. The power connector also includes a connection for a temperature sensor and holding brake. An axial blower unit can be attached optionally on the MKD motor and the temperature sensor (PTC) is fixed-mounted in the motor winding. The motor operates at the rated voltage of 314 – 355 V which is supplied by the respective drive controller. The MKD synchronous motor uses digital resolver feedback for relative indirect position detection. The resolver generates 4 index signals per mechanical rotation. The motor with natural cooling generates the continuous power of 3.2 kW at 60-K overtemperature and at 100-K overtemperature the motor generates the continuous power of 4.8 kW while operating at the speed of 2500 rpm. The motor with surface cooling generates the 6.4 kW of rated power.
The model MKD112A-024-GP1-BN usually uses ambient air for cooling purposes but during extreme load conditions, an axial blower is placed with the motor for surface cooling. The blower operates at the rated voltage of 115 – 230V with the 50/60 Hz of operating frequency. A motor holding brake is installed in this model and an output shaft with a key is placed in this model. The service life of the bearing used in this motor is approximately 30,000 operating hours and the permissible temperature range for this model is 0 – 40 degree Celsius.
