The MKD090B-035-KP2-KN digital AC motor is one of the several MKD series of synchronous motors made by Bosch Rexroth. This motor encompasses a shaft sealing ring in adherence to DIN 3760 specifications. This ring is a rubber seal and generates heat. It is prone to wear and tear. The product is subject to both radial and axial forces on its shaft during operation. The bearings of the device have a service life of 30,000 hours if the radial and axial forces are not exceeded. The unit is CE Certified, UL, and cUR listed. It comes with a type label fitted on its housing.
The type-plate of the motor helps in the identification of the motor, obtaining spare parts when it fails, and providing service-related information. The product should not be dropped or tipped during transport, storage, and handling. The device must be stored and transported only in the horizontal orientation. It should be mounted as soon as possible after taking off the plastic protective sleeve from the shaft. The unit is manufactured in compliance with design B05 as per DIN 42950 specifications. The flange is fixed to the motor using four M10 screws with a tightening torque of 87Nm.
The plug connectors of the motor should be connected and disconnected only in the de-energized and dry state. These connectors must be tightened securely when the motor is in use. The product should be operated only with one of the manufacturer’s drive controllers. The operation of the device may get affected due to excessive shavings, dust, or dirt. It comes with four pole pairs. The unit has a winding inductance of 15.5mH. The motor features a Class F insulation in adherence with DIN VDE 0530 Part 1 specifications.
