The MKD071B-061-KP0-KS is an AC servo motor engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MKD Synchronous Motors series. It converts commanded drive current into controlled rotary motion for positioning axes, indexing tables, and other automated devices that demand repeatable speed and torque. Integrated resolver electronics relay rotor data to the drive in real time, so the axis can follow profile commands accurately during continuous operation and point-to-point moves in industrial automation cells. The motor is intended for closed-loop use with a compatible drive that regulates current and position from the incoming feedback signals.

At standstill, the rotor can deliver a continuous torque of 8.0 Nm, allowing the axis to hold loads without overheating under rated current. The mechanical interface follows the IEC square-flange pattern, and a flange width of 115 mm with a centering pilot of 95 mm helps align the housing precisely on gearboxes or machine frames. Electromagnetic behavior is set by winding code 061, which establishes the stator resistance and inductance used with medium-voltage inverters. Resolver electronics provide true absolute feedback over more than 4096 revolutions, so the drive can retain position information after power loss. The B-length stator adds active iron while keeping rotor inertia moderate for responsive motion.

Power and feedback leads exit at the rear, where the connectors are oriented toward Side B to support organized cable routing in confined machine spaces. A sealed connection box simplifies wiring and helps protect the electrical interface during normal operation. Torque is transmitted through a ground steel shaft with keyway, ensuring positive coupling to pulleys or couplers, and an integral shaft seal limits lubricant migration along the journal. The shaft seal also helps reduce contaminant entry around the output end during routine machine use. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, vertical or suspended loads must be secured by external clamping or maintained by drive torque when the axis is stopped.
