The MKD025B-144-KP1-KS is a synchronous motor in the MKD digital AC motor series. Manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, the motor is designed to be used with Indramat digital drive controllers for affordable and effective automation systems. The MKD025B-144-KP1-KS motor features high operational reliability and high overload capacity because of the favorable heat dissipation it features from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. It also offers electrical commutation which allows for continuous start-stop operation with high repeat frequencies. The MKD025B-144-KP1-KS features direct overhung mounting of belt pulleys and pinions, and quick and straightforward startup.
The MKD025B-144-KP1-KS features a holding brake which is used to close the servo axis when the applied machine is de-energized. It is operated based on the electrically releasing principle. When the machine is in a de-energized state, the magnetic force will act upon the brake armature disk. Then, this will push the holding brake to close and hold the axis. The MKD025B-144-KP1-KS synchronous motor belongs to the protection category IP65 which allows it to operate in even the harshest conditions.
