The MKD025B-144-KP0-KS servo motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MKD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion axes where compact dimensions and repeatable torque delivery are important. When paired with digital drive controllers, the motor converts three-phase electrical power into precise rotary motion for indexing, feed positioning, and interpolated movement in packaging, printing, and automated assembly equipment. Its housing and electrical interfaces support direct installation inside machine frames without supplementary adapters.

At standstill, the motor delivers a continuous torque of 0.9 Nm. Mechanical attachment uses a 54 mm square flange with a 40 mm centering diameter for concentric alignment to gearheads. Power and resolver leads exit on side B through a sealed connection box, which helps simplify cable routing along linear guides. The housing is rated IP65, which helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from internal components. A keyed output shaft transmits torque, a shaft seal helps prevent lubricant loss, and Class F insulation supports elevated winding temperature while cooling is done by natural convection without auxiliary equipment.

Motion feedback is provided by Resolver feedback, which supplies multi-turn Absolute (>4096 revs) position data. Combined with internal interpolation, the drive can achieve system precision of ±8 angular minutes, supporting contouring tasks at moderate speeds. The 025 frame size and B length help keep rotor inertia low, which supports rapid acceleration in space-restricted cells. Continuous duty is permitted at ambient temperatures of 0–40 °C without derating. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so static loads must be restrained externally, and the absolute position system reduces the need for homing after a power cycle.
