Product Description:
The MKD025B-144-GP0-KN-SA001 is a servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MKD Synchronous Motors series. As a compact drive element, it supplies rotational motion for positioning axes and feed drives in industrial automation lines where closed-loop speed and torque control are required. Its compact size makes it suitable for machine sections where mounting space is limited. It can be used in equipment that needs repeatable motion without a large motor footprint.
The motor’s centering flange is machined to 40 mm, allowing precise alignment against gearheads or machine frames, while a 54 mm square flange provides the bolt pattern for direct mounting. At standstill, the electromagnetic system can deliver 0.9 Nm of continuous torque. Rotor position is returned to the controller through resolver feedback (RSF), so the drive receives sine-cosine signals for shaft position evaluation. Power and feedback leads exit on Side B of the housing, which can simplify cable routing when the opposite face is obstructed. The B-length stator stack increases copper volume without changing the outside width, and a shaft seal is fitted to help limit lubricant leakage into the motor interior.
A molded connection box protects the terminals from contamination and supports field wiring without additional enclosures. The motor uses winding code 144 for compatibility with standard Indramat drive modules. The hardened steel output shaft is machined as a shaft with a keyway, so torque can be transferred directly to pulleys or couplings, and the mechanical frame is size 025, which helps keep rotor inertia low for rapid acceleration. Relative position detection is used because the resolver signals are referenced at power-up rather than retained as an absolute position. The unit is supplied without a holding brake, so an external locking device is needed when power-off restraint is required.
