Product Description:

The MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 is a MDD series industrial servo motor from Bosch. With a compatible controller, the motor forms a rapid-response and reliable servo system. Typical applications for MDD synchronous motors include textiles, packaging machines, handling equipment and printing machines. Salient features of MDD motors include electronic commutation, maintenance-free operation, overtemperature protection, IP65 protection and support for optional blocking brakes. The MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 comes with an integrated encoder and supports digital servo feedback. The controller uses motor feedback to adjust its output and bring motor speed and position in line with programmed values. The controller connected to the MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 must be programmed before system commissioning. The nominal speed rating of the MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 is 2000 RPM. The motor housing has a standard design. Operators can use the motor with surface cooling or natural convection.

The choice of cooling method depends on application load requirements. As the output torque and current are lower with natural convection, this cooling method can be used for lower application loads. Surface cooling provides output higher torque and current and can therefore be used for higher application loads. Surface cooling requires installation of an optional blower on the motor. Bosch provides both axial and radial blowers for MDD motors. Axial cooling is suited for those applications that need a slender form. Radial cooling is suited for those applications that need a shorter construction. The MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 has a plain output shaft. Each MDD motor has one power connection, the location for which is specified in the motor order. The MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 has the power connection on side B of the housing. Centering diameter of the MDD117C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 is 130 millimeters. The motor does not feature a blocking brake.
