Product Description:

Bosch Rexroth has a wide range of high-performance servo motors in its product portfolio. It is the manufacturer of the permanent magnet-excited MDD motors that assure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates, especially when used for cutting at high speed ranges.

The MDD115B-N-015-N2L-130GA0 is one of the servo motors of the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its motor feedback type is digital servo feedback, and it evaluates the motor’s motor’s relative indirect position with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Like other motors using the optical measurement method, it functions with impressive precision and eliminates the need for a separate encoder. It also has a data memory that stores the motor type name and control loop parameters, reducing the motor’s bootup time. The nominal speed of this MDD model is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and it generates a theoretical maximum torque of 118.2Nm. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 172 x 10-4 kgm2.

Thanks to the black prime coating covering the housing of the MDD115B-N-015-N2L-130GA0, it is protected from chalky buildup, yellowing, weathering, lyes, and dilute acids. The housing is sealed and resistant to penetration by solid external materials and water jet sprays from different directions. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating according to DIN 40 050 is IP 65. Heat elimination from the motor’s stator is by heat conduction to the wall of the motor housing, giving it high overload capabilities. Overall, the motor is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling; hence, it is ideal for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive rates. Its electronic commutation feature also gives it a high cyclic load capacity for such operations.
