Bosch Rexroth manufactures factory automation products used in the global drive and motion industry. One of these is the MDD synchronous motor series comprising advanced and dynamic motors with several applications. They are permanent magnet-excited motors with electronic commutation and are used to create rapid-response automation systems when combined with the Indramat digital drive controllers. These motors guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when they are used for cutting at high-speed ranges.
The MDD112D-N-030-N2L-180GA0 is equipped with an integrated encoder system, the digital servo feedback. This encoder system allows the relative indirect evaluation of the motor's position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. It uses the optical measurement method and thus, has a high degree of precision. There is a temperature sensor built into the windings of this model, used to monitor its temperature and prevent thermal damage. This motor is equipped with a plain output shaft which allows a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque. It has a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm and a centering diameter of 180mm.
The Ingress Protection rating of the MDD112D-N-030-N2L-180GA0 and its housing is IP 65 according to EN 60529; hence, it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and impermeable to water sprayed from different directions.
