These motors have several unique characteristics that make them the preferred motors for specific functions. They guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when they are used for cutting at high-speed ranges.

The MDD112D-N-020-R2L-130GA0 is one of the MDD motors. It has a standard housing design constructed according to DIN 40050 and which is suitable for cooling via natural convection. This gives the motor high overload capabilities as heat loss is via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. The housing is painted with a black prime coating resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, and dilute acids and lyes. The Ingress Protection rating of this MDD model and its housing is IP 65 according to EN 60529; hence, it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and impermeable to water sprayed from different directions,

Digital servo feedback is the motor feedback of the MDD112D-N-020-R2L-130GA0. With this encoder, there is a high precision measurement of the relative indirect position of the motor. It also has a data memory for reading and storing the motor's data. This motor is suitable for applications that require an extreme degree of synchronism, such as grinding machines. It has a nominal speed of 2,000 rpm and a centering diameter of 130 mm. For a non-positive shaft-hub connection, it is fitted with a plain output shaft with a radial shaft sealing ring. This motor should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, maximum relative humidity of 95%, and set up at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
