The Bosch MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130PB0 is a MDD servo motor. MDD motors are deployed in combination with compatible servo controllers. The function of the controller is to control motor speed, position and torque. Feedback from the motor provides real-time information to the controller about motor speed, position and torque. Based on motor feedback, the controller adjusts its output to bring motor parameters in line with operator requirements. Drives with MDD servo motors are especially well-suited for use in tool, textile, printing and packaging machines, as well as robotics, handling equipment and transfer facilities. The MDD product line include nine motor series. MDD112 motors especially well-suited to high-precision applications where an extreme degree of synchronism is required (e.g. in grinding machines). The MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130PB0 motor is equipped with a multiturn absolute encoder.
A multiturn absolute encoder measures the angular position of a shaft. Multiturn encoders are used in a variety of applications where it is important to accurately measure the position of a rotating shaft over a wide range of angles. Some common applications include robotics, industrial automation, and machine control systems. The motor has a standard housing with IP65 protection rating. Its speed rating is 2000 RPM. The main shaft has a keyway that prevents relative rotation. In doing so, the keyway ensures proper torque transfer to the connected machine. The shaft also includes a seal designed to prevent oil leakage and protect against dust and moisture ingress. Bosch provides four options for the power connector location.
