Bosch Rexroth’s MDD AC servo motor series are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation and a wide range of functions. There are several motors in this series that can be used for specific applications. They are combined with intelligent drive controllers by Bosch Rexroth to create cost-effective and rapid response automation systems. Their typical areas of application include tool machines, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130PA0 is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder. This allows absolute indirect position evaluation on the motor and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The motor is fitted with an output shaft with a keyway for form-fitting torque transmissions. This MDD model can be installed in any position, and it is delivered with ready-made cables, which also reduces the effort required during installation. It has a high overload capability due to efficient heat conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of its housing. A temperature sensor is built into its windings to prevent damage from thermal overload.
As a result of its housing's black prime coat, the MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130PA0 is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. It is a completely sealed motor with an Ingress protection rating of IP 65. This protection rating means that it is protected against penetration by solid extrinsic objects and damage from water jets. Its bearing supports high radial loads and has a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. The motor should be operated at an ambient temperature of 40°C, relative humidity of 95%, and should be set up at a height of 1000m.
