Product Description:
Indramat digital drive controllers and the permanent magnet-excited MDD motors form rapid-response automation systems suitable for several applications. The synchronous servo motors have a compact build with high power density and come in different frame sizes and speeds.
The MDD112B-L-030-N2L-130GB0 is an MDD motor with a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute and a centering diameter of 130mm. Its housing is sealed, having an IP 65 Ingress Protection per DIN 40 050 that indicates that it is dustproof, touch-proof, and impervious to water jet sprays. The housing’s coat is a black prime coating with high-level resistance to yellowing, chalky buildups, lyes, dilute acids, and weathering. There is a thermal sensor in the stator of the MDD motor to monitor its temperature and prevent permanent damage due to overheating. It is cooled via surface cooling; hence, it accommodates extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies.
Given its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, the MDD112B-L-030-N2L-130GB0 can be operated maintenance-free. Its motor feedback is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Since it uses the optical measurement method, it functions with high-level precision. This encoder evaluates the motor’s relative indirect position, but it can be used to evaluate its relative direct position as well. It eliminates the need for separate incremental encoders and stores the relative position in the intelligent digital drive. The MDD motor has a design that allows the application of high radial loads; hence, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to the shaft. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level and operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC.
