Product Description:

Bosch Rexroth’s design of the MDD series of digital AC servo motors incorporates a wide range of features that allows them to be used for setting up cost-efficient rapid-response automation systems. The permanent magnet motors can also be used to create drives that have their applications in multiple areas. They include machine tools, robotics, printing and packaging machines, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.

The MDD112A-N-020-N2M-130PA1 is a model of the digital AC servo motors in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It is designed for high-precision applications where a high degree of synchronism is prioritized, as seen in grinding machines. To this end, it is equipped with a wide range of features such as low inertia and a digital servo feedback system with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. Its low inertia is possible thanks to the use of rare-earth or iron oxide materials in the permanent magnets that are used to construct its laminated core. Its encoder system also allows the absolute indirect position of the motor to be detected.

The blocking brake of the MDD112A-N-020-N2M-130PA1 has a blocking torque of 14.0Nm, and it allows the axis to be brought to a safe standstill when the power is out. The servo motor is also dynamically balanced according to the requirements of the balance class N specified in DIN VDE 0530. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and its theoretical maximum torque is 30.7Nm. Heat dissipation in this motor is by natural convection and surface cooling. Surface cooling is the preferred cooling method in operations with extreme loads such as continuous start-stop operations with a high level of repetitive frequency.
