Product Description:

Bosch Rexroth is a reliable automation product supplier with a global reach. Its MDD motors are permanent magnet-excited servo motors that guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used for cutting in high speed ranges.

The MDD093B-N-040-N2L-130GA0 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It utilizes natural convection and surface cooling for heat dissipation and functions with impressive overload capabilities. This is because heat is also efficiently transferred from its stator windings to the outside walls of its housing. It has several protective features, designed to enhance its service life. One of these is the thermal sensor built into its windings to prevent irreversible damage due to overheating. Its housing is also sealed, in line with the IP 65 protection class per DIN 40 050, making it touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets from different directions. The housing’s coat is a black prime varnish with high resistance to weathering, chalky buildup, and yellowing.

Rare-earth materials comprise the permanent magnets of the rotor of the MDD093B-N-040-N2L-130GA0. This gives it low inertia and the torque-inertia ratio necessary for highly dynamic operations. Digital servo feedback evaluates its relative indirect position and stores the information in the intelligent digital drive. As a result, there is no need for a separate incremental encoder. This encoder also has a data memory that stores information like the type name to reduce start-up time. The MDD model is designed to generate a theoretical maximum torque of 45.1Nm and reach a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. Its high cyclic load capacity makes it ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
