The Bosch Rexroth MDD093B-N-030-N2L-130PB0 is a servo motor. It is designed for industrial applications such as packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment and transfer facilities. MDD motors are made with permanent magnets. These special magnets allow construction of motors with low inertia. Each motor has several components including the winding, the main shaft, laminated core with permanent magnets, encoder and an optional blocking brake. Salient features of MDD motors include a brushless design and use of life-time lubricated bearings. These features combine to make MDD motor maintenance free, which helps to reduce the total cost of ownership for solutions that are based on MDD motors. Furthermore, the motor housing is completely sealed and the cable connections are construction as per protection category IP65. Therefore, operators can use MDD motors directly within the working area of machines.

MDD motors designed with an integrated temperature sensor on the motor windings. This feature helps to prevent overload events. The output shafts are available in two different designs: as plain shafts for non positive shaft-hub connections and as shafts with keyways for form-fitting shaft-hub connections. The shaft on the MDD093B-N-030-N2L-130PB0 includes a keyway and also includes a shaft seal. Nominal speed rating of the motor is 3000 RPM. The motor supports digital servo feedback and provides accurate real-time feedback to the connected servo controller. Operators can use the motor with either convection cooling or surface cooling. Centering diameter of the servo motor is 130 millimeters. The power socket is on side B of the housing. The temperature range for rated output is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. Motor performance degrades above 45 degrees Celsius and above 1000 meters site elevation.
