Its MDD synchronous servo motors are compact and versatile motors that form rapid-response automation systems when combined with Indramat digital drive controllers. These motors are commonly used in applications like textile machines, handling equipment, food processing and packaging machines, and robotics.

The MDD090B-N-030-N2L-130GA0 is a servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is coated with a black prime varnish resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky buildup, dilute acids, and lyes. With the temperature monitoring sensor in its stator windings, damage due to thermal overload can be avoided. The motor also displays high overload capability as heat is efficiently eliminated from the stator. It is cooled via surface cooling and natural convection, where heat generated is exchanged with ambient air. Because of electronic commutation, this MDD model has a high cyclic load capacity that permits continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.

A plain output shaft in the MDD090B-N-030-N2L-130GA0 provides a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque. It is also equipped with a rotor whose permanent magnets give it low inertia. The motor’s nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and its rotor’s moment of inertia is 36 x 10-4 kgm2. It uses digital servo feedback for the evaluation of its relative indirect position, storing the information obtained in the digital drive. This encoder’s measurement principle is the optical method, while its system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes.
