The MDD090B-N-030-N2L-110GB2 is one of Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors with a centering diameter of 110mm. It is equipped with a blocking brake of 11.0Nm torque to ensure the backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is powered off. Based on the DIN 40 050 guidelines, it is a product of the IP 65 protection category since it does not admit solid extrinsic materials or multidirectional water jet sprays. Its housing is sealed, allowing its safe use in unfavorable environmental conditions. It is also coated with a black prime varnish that protects it from chalky buildup, weathering, yellowing, dilute acids, and lyes. The motor’s nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and it can generate a maximum torque of 38.9Nm.

Like other MDD servo motors, the MDD090B-N-030-N2L-110GB2 has a thermal sensor in its stator to protect it from damage due to thermal overload. It uses two types of cooling mechanisms: natural convection and surface cooling which makes it suitable for extreme loads. The servo motor also permits the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft since its design makes it possible to apply high radial loads.
