The MDD090A-N-030-N2L-110PB2 is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor in the MDD series with a thermal sensor in its stator windings. This protects it from damage due to thermal overload by monitoring its temperature. It also has high overload capabilities because the heat generated during its operation is efficiently dissipated from its stator windings to the external walls of its housing. Due to the motor’s compact size, it has a high power-to-weight ratio and can be installed in any position. Pinions and belt pulleys can also be directly attached to its shaft since its design supports the application of high radial loads. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to DIN 40050, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and safe from water jet sprays.
Digital servo feedback in the MDD090A-N-030-N2L-110PB2 detects its relative indirect position and transfers the information to the drive controller. It replaces separate incremental encoders and retains information even after power is shut off.
