The MDD071B-N-060-N2S-095GR0 is an industrial AC motor. It is developed by Bosch Rexroth. The motor is used in combination with a compatible controller. The function of the controller is to control motor speed, torque and position. The controller also supplies power to the motor. Power is supplied via a power cable. This cable connects to a power socket on the right side of the motor housing. The motor supports digital servo feedback and sends information about its operating parameters to the controller. This information, known as feedback, is sent via a feedback cable. This cable connects to a separate connector on the motor. Housing of the MDD071B-N-060-N2S-095GR0 is designed for two types of cooling: natural convection and surface cooling. Both of these methods rely on flow of air over the heated motor body for heat dissipation.

The difference between the two methods is that natural convection relies on flow of natural air, whereas surface cooling relies on the flow of forced air, produced by a cooling fan, over the motor surface. Nominal speed rating of the MDD071B-N-060-N2S-095GR0 motor is 6000 RPM. The main shaft on the motor is plain with a standard side-B shaft end.
