The MDD065D-N-060-N2L-095PB1 is a Bosch Rexroth MDD series servo motor. It comes in an IP65 rated housing that is suited to both natural convection and surface cooling. This excellent rating signifies that the motor is dust proof and safe from water coming from low-pressure water jets. Therefore the motor can be used under adverse operating conditions. The nominal motor speed is 6000 RPM. Usable motor speed is determined by the torque requirements of the application. The usable speed found in the selection lists of the motor-drive combinations are binding for standard applications. The usable speed for other applications can be found using the required torque in the torque-speed characteristics curves in the product documentation. The product documentation contains motor performance specifications for natural convection and surface cooling. The specifications for natural convection include 30 minutes thermal time constant, 2.7 Nm continuous torque and 10.3 Amps continuous current.

The specifications for surface cooling include 15 minutes thermal time constant, 3.5 Nm continuous torque and 13.3 Amps continuous current. Features supported by the MDD065D-N-060-N2L-095PB1 include digital servo feedback, output shaft with keyway, power connection to side B and an optional blocking brake. Technical characteristics for the blocking brake include 3 Nm holding torque, 24 Volts nominal voltage, 0.6 Amps nominal current, 30 milliseconds release delay and 15 milliseconds clamping delay. Centering diameter of the MDD065D-N-060-N2L-095PB1 motor is 95 millimeters. Bosch does not permit any modification to the motor hardware or software. Only trained personnel should handle the motor.
