Bosch Rexroth’s product portfolio is vast, comprising state-of-the-art units like the synchronous servo motors of the MDD series. These servo motors are characterized by a compact build, low inertia, and a brushless design that permits maintenance-free operation with lifetime-lubricated bearings.

The MDD065B-N-040-N2L-095GA1 is a Bosch Rexroth MDD servo motor whose motor feedback type is digital servo feedback. It uses the optical measurement method to ensure high precision in the determination  of its relative indirect position. The encoder also has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and bypasses the need for a separate incremental encoder with the motor. Its data memory stores parameters like the type name and control loop parameters to facilitate the motor’s quick startup. It also ensures that it can adapt to its drive controller without the risk of damage. This MDD model’s housing is sealed in line with the guidelines of DIN 40050 and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65. Hence, its safe operation under harsh environmental conditions can be achieved.

A thermal sensor protects the MDD065B-N-040-N2L-095GA1 from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It is built into its stator, from which heat is efficiently removed via natural convection, giving the motor high overload capability. This motor also supports surface cooling, allowing it to accommodate extreme loads.
