Bosch Rexroth’s MDD digital AC servo motors are advanced and dynamic motors with a wide range of applications. They are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. As a result, they have a high cyclic load capacity for high-frequency applications. Their areas of application include machine tools, textiles machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.

The MDD065A-N-040-N2L-095PB1 is an MDD servo motor model equipped with digital servo feedback to measure the relative indirect position of the motor. The position measured is stored in an intelligent digital drive. It also has a high power-to-weight ratio due to its compact size. This maintenance-free motor has a high degree of operational reliability and can be used for different functions under adverse environmental conditions. Its maintenance-free operation is due to its brushless design and completely sealed motor housing. This motor has a nominal speed of 4,000 rpm and a centering diameter of 95mm.

With its high power density, the MDD065A-N-040-N2L-095PB1 is suitable for dynamic applications such as roller feeds for pressing, punching and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. Its output shaft is a shaft with a keyway, according to DIN 6885-1, and a shaft sealing ring to provide form-fitting shaft-hub connections. This motor's protection rating is IP 65; hence, it is protected against contact to high voltage, the penetration of solid extrinsic objects, and water sprayed from different directions. Its housing design gives it a high overload capability as heat is lost via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing.
