Product Description:
The MCP070F-V180-NI-N0CN-NNNN is a linear motor primary section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MCP Linear Motors series. It is intended for automation axes that require low cogging and accurate position control over short and repeated moves. In gantries and pick-and-place modules, it converts controlled DC power into direct linear motion without belts, screws, or gearboxes. That layout reduces moving transmission parts and helps the axis respond quickly during frequent starts, stops, and reversals. Because force is produced directly at the carriage, backlash from mechanical drive trains is avoided.
The motor operates from a 300 VDC DC link, so the connected drive must regulate bus voltage and manage regeneration. Heat is removed by natural convection, which requires free airflow around the coil or a conductive carriage that can carry heat away. Power and feedback leads exit from the front of the coil, which helps routing on axes that travel away from the cabinet. The electromagnetic section uses code 070, and the motor mounts through an I-shaped backbone that provides a flat interface for carrier plates. This front lead exit can also help keep cable loops clear of the magnet track on compact axes.
The coil stack uses code F, which adds active copper for higher continuous force without increasing the section width. Its ironless design reduces magnetic attraction to the rail, which helps lower bearing preload and supports aggressive acceleration profiles. The standard configuration does not add extra sensors, liquid-cooling hoses, or auxiliary brackets, so the assembly remains compact and straightforward to integrate. This arrangement suits linear axes that need direct thrust production with minimal added hardware around the moving carriage. It also leaves more usable space around the carriage for guards and process tooling.
