Product Description:
The MCP025D-V180-NI-L0CN-NNNN is an ironless linear motor primary section built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MCP Linear Motors series. Intended for direct-drive positioning stages, the component converts bus energy into linear thrust along a magnet track without gears or screws, which removes backlash and reduces maintenance in factory automation cells. The coil is used as a moving element and pairs with a stationary magnetic base, supporting precise motion profiles in pick-and-place gantries, inspection tables, and semiconductor processes. Because thrust is generated directly along the travel path, the assembly suits systems that need quick reversals and accurate short-stroke moves.
It operates from a drive stage that provides a 300 VDC bus, allowing moderate force density while limiting current demand on the power supply. Heat from the winding set is removed by natural convection, so the coil should be installed where ambient airflow remains unobstructed during operation. Electrical leads leave the assembly at the front edge, which helps with cable routing in compact machines that use moving coils. The active stack uses Frame Length D, and the coil mounts with an I-shape arrangement that aligns the body to a flat surface with a central stiffening rib. The longer active section increases the interaction area with the magnetic track, which raises continuous force compared with shorter lengths.
The integral Hall unit sensor type provides a digital output signal for coarse commutation, allowing the drive to energize the phases immediately after power-up without an additional resolver. Classified as an MCP Ironless Linear Motor, the moving coil has no iron teeth, so detent force is negligible and force ripple stays low during slow positioning. That characteristic is useful where very low-speed motion must remain uniform across the full travel range. The low-mass coil format also supports high acceleration when it is matched with an appropriate magnet track and drive stage.
