The MAF225C-0150-FR-S2-EK0-05-N1 is a MAF series induction motor created by Bosch Rexroth. It has 3 pole pairs, and the cross-section power wire area is 2 x 35 mm2. It has additional grounding requirements with the power wire cable of 16 mm2. It comes with standard bearings, and the mechanical service life of the bearings is 30,000 operating hours. Standard bearings are deep-groove ball bearings that can help this machine run at a max speed of 3750 rpm. It has no holding brakes, and the construction is flange-type that has permissible conditions of installation of IM B5, IM V1, and IM V3 as per EN 60034-7.
It has an S2 encoder integrated within it that represents a single-turn absolute encoder that is powered by 1 Vss sine/cosine signals. The encoder has 2048 lines per rotation and absolute period assignment within one shaft rotation. The encoder has a phenomenal feature of data memory that consists of motor commissioning parameters. KTY84-130 sensors are attached to the motor, and the motor has jet black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating on the housing.
The MAF225C-0150-FR-S2-EK0-05-N1 has a vibration severity grade of regular, and the cooling mode is through liquid cooling with rapid action cooling of 1/2". This particular model has a frame length of "C", winding code of 0150, and frame size of 225. The output shaft is equipped with sealing rings to provide additional protection to the motor, and it is balanced with a half key. In the case of the shorter hub, Rexroth advises using the graduated key. Half key feature has the similar mass relationships as plain shaft. Please avoid using the full key in this variant of the motor, as it can result in an imbalance.
