The MAF225C-0150-FR-S2-DR0-35-V1 is a unique variant of the MAF series as it has to be additionally grounded, and it is relatively large as compared to its other variants. This variant is designed by Bosch Rexroth under the belt of the asynchronous motor series. It has a rated speed of 1500 rpm, and the key speed is 1000 rpm due to derating. It follows the classification of climatic environmental conditions according to DIN EN 60721-3-3. The absolute air humidity for this motor must be between 1 - 29 g/m3 whereas the relative air humidity ranges from 5 - 95 %.
This particular motor MAF225C-0150-FR-S2-DR0-35-V1 comes without the holding brakes and has reinforced bearings. Reinforced bearings are best for higher radial loads but reduce the maximum speed and greese service life. This variant is equipped with 2 PTC temperature sensors that are KTY84-130. The placement of these sensors is on the stationary side, and these are routed to the controller using signal lines. At a time, only one sensor is connected and evaluated. The cooling mode is through liquid coolant and the maximum coolant supply pressure is 3 bar.
It is equipped with a single turn absolute encoder with 2048 lines per rotation. This encoder is compatible with all IndraDrive variants and incompatible with ECO 03 and DIAX 04. The accuracy of the S2 encoder is 0.0056 degrees whereas the relative accuracy is 0.001'. With reinforced bearings, this machine can run up to 3750 rpm withdrawing a current of 489 A, and power dissipation of 246 kW at that time.
