It is a liquid-cooled drive element intended for constant-torque duty in automated machinery where thermal loading and installation space are critical. This motor type is used where a machine needs continuous output without relying on external airflow around the housing. Its housing construction also helps keep the drive package compact in machines with limited mounting space. The motor uses flange and foot mounting, so it can be installed directly on base plates or machine frames without adapters.

The design is supplied without a holding brake and without a shaft sealing ring, so external restraints and seals must be used where required. This arrangement leaves load holding and external sealing to the surrounding machine design.
