Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MAF225C-0150-FQ-M2-KH0-35-N1, which belongs to the MAF IndraDyn Asynchronous Motors series. This liquid-cooled housing motor is intended for industrial automation tasks that demand stable speed control and a compact thermal design. It uses frame length C and frame size 225 to maintain a predictable mounting envelope across machinery. The housing-based cooling concept helps manage motor heat without increasing the external footprint.

The motor has a rated speed of 1500 rpm, allowing direct coupling to standard 50 Hz transmission ratios without additional gearing. Rotor position and multi-turn count are provided by a multi-turn absolute encoder that communicates through the EnDat2.1 serial interface, and its supply range of 7–12 V lets it share low-voltage power rails with other feedback devices. Position data are measured in 2048 increments, which supports fine resolution during closed-loop control. Thermal energy is removed by liquid cooling through an internal jacket, and threaded 1/2-inch connection ports link the motor to the plant coolant manifold. The stator uses winding code 0150, and the motor comes without a shaft sealing ring, so external oil retention is required when the plain shaft enters a lubricated gearbox. Standard rolling bearings complete the mechanical arrangement.

The housing is rated IP65, so dust and water jets do not reach live parts or the encoder head. Stator insulation meets class F requirements, permitting winding temperatures up to 155 °C while the allowable ambient temperature remains within 0–40 °C. Vibration level A complies with DIN EN 60034-14 and helps reduce dynamic loads on connected gearboxes. The motor supports flange and foot mounting, uses threaded coolant connections, and comes without a holding brake.
