The MAF180D-0150-FQ-S2-EQ0-35-N3 asynchronous motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MAF IndraDyn Asynchronous Motors series. As a liquid-cooled asynchronous housing motor, it converts electrical energy into rotary motion for conveyor sections, extruders, and other continuous-duty axes that benefit from stable torque at constant speed. It is intended for automation systems that need heat to be carried away from enclosed machine areas while still using digital feedback for accurate motor control.

Liquid circulation through the stator jacket controls operating temperature, and the coolant enters and exits through a 1/2 inch connection thread that matches common plant plumbing. This liquid cooling method allows the motor to sustain its rated speed of 1500 rpm inside sealed enclosures. The motor uses a 180 frame with length code D and standard bearings to support radial load. Position data is provided by a single-turn absolute encoder that communicates over EnDat2.1 and delivers 2048 increments per revolution to the drive for accurate phase alignment and slip compensation. The encoder electronics operate from a 7 to 12 V supply derived from the servo controller. Power conductors are routed to a rotatable terminal box on the A-side, which helps simplify cable entry in different machine layouts. The winding code 0150 corresponds to dedicated IndraDrive parameter sets.

The motor has an IP65 protection class, flange and foot mounting, and vibration level B in accordance with DIN EN 60034-14. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C, and the windings use insulation class F. The shaft has a keyway and is balanced with a complete key, while no shaft sealing ring is installed, so an external seal is needed where splash exposure is expected. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, which reduces axial length and simplifies the overall mechanical layout.
