Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MAF160C-0200-FQ-S2-DK0-05-N1 as part of the MAF IndraDyn Asynchronous Motors series. This liquid-cooled housing motor is installed in automated machines that need a steady torque source while keeping cabinet heat low. It is intended for direct flange integration on process equipment. Electrical and cooling services are routed from the right-side terminal box.

The motor is built around a closed cooling circuit that circulates coolant through the stator jacket. This arrangement uses liquid cooling and lets the unit deliver rated output without relying on ambient airflow. Connection ports with 1/2-inch threads simplify the attachment of standard industrial hoses in compact enclosures. Mechanical attachment uses flange mounting, so axial alignment comes from the pilot diameter rather than foot bolts. This mounting arrangement helps the motor sit accurately against machine faces and connected assemblies. Rotor position feedback is produced by an EnDat2.1 interface, allowing high-speed digital communication with compatible drives. Inside the encoder, the single-turn absolute disc resolves motion into 2048 increments. This gives the controller a clear position reference after every power cycle and eliminates the need for homing moves.

The housing carries an IP65 rating, blocking dust ingress and water jets common in washdown or coolant-rich environments. Under continuous load, the shaft spins at a rated speed of 2000 rpm. Vibration characteristics stay within class A because the rotor is balanced with a half key. Operation is supported over an ambient range of 0 to 40 °C, and within this window the F-class insulation system withstands internal winding temperatures up to 155 °C. The sealed housing and shaft hardware support use in areas where moisture or process fluids are present. A shaft sealing ring, DIN EN 60034-14 compliance, and a turnable terminal box support installation flexibility, and the motor is supplied without a holding brake.
