Product Description:
The MAF160C-0151-FQ-S2-EH0-05-A1 is a liquid-cooled asynchronous housing motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MAF IndraDyn Asynchronous Motors series. It is designed to deliver continuous torque in production lines and processing machines where thermal stability is important during long operating cycles. The motor uses a liquid jacket to remove heat directly from the stator, which helps the drive system maintain steady speed behavior under sustained load. This arrangement makes the unit suitable for industrial automation duties that require dependable operation over extended periods.
The motor uses liquid cooling through a connection thread sized to 1/2 inch, which supports straightforward connection to plant cooling circuits. Its terminal box is mounted on the A-side and can be rotated, allowing the power cable to leave the housing in a direction that reduces sharp bends at the entry point. Position feedback is provided by a EnDat2.1 single-turn absolute encoder with 2048 increments, and the encoder operates from a stabilized supply of 7–12 V. The motor has a plain shaft and does not include a shaft sealing ring, so the driven machine section should be protected from coolant splash or similar contamination. It is also supplied without a holding brake, so any load that must remain fixed during power loss needs an external locking method or holding torque from the drive.
An A-side fixed bearing supports axial loads, and the motor follows vibration level A for normal industrial operation. The stator winding uses insulation class F, which allows the winding system to withstand elevated internal temperatures during continuous use. The housing has an IP65 rating to resist dust and low-pressure water jets in typical machine environments. Continuous operation is permitted within an ambient range of 0–40 °C, and operation outside that range requires derating. The motor mounts by flange, matching the 160 frame and length code C layout, and the balancing and vibration behavior follow DIN EN 60034-14.
