The MAF160C-0100-FQ-M2-BG0-35-N4 is an induction motor variant by Rexroth. It has a rated speed of 1000 rpm, and standard-type bearings are installed in it. With the standard type bearings, this machine can run up to 6x more than rated speed. The maximum speed of the motor is 6000 rpm at a maximum current of 196 A and a maximum output of 69.7 kW. There are two modes of operation, S1 and S6. In S6 operation at 44%, the duty cycle duration is 10 minutes and the thermal time constant of this machine is double the duty cycle. So, the thermal time constant is 20 minutes with a discharge capacity of 28 nF. The number of pole pairs is 3 (north and south), and the sound pressure level at 1 m is 72 db. This variant has no holding brakes, and the output shaft is plain. A plain shaft is the recommended standard for all Indramat Asynchronous motors. Plain shaft offers a variety of functions and applications as it is a non-positive, zero backlash shaft-hub connection with a high degree of quiet running.

These machines are electrically and mechanically inspected. These tests include the ground terminal connection test according to EN 60204-1/1.92, and mechanically inspected by concentricity and position tolerances of shaft end and fastening flange according to DIN 42955. The vibration measurement is recorded according to DIN 2373. The rotor moment of inertia is 0.26 kgm2, and the weight of the machine is 227 kg. The limit of high relative air humidity is 95%, and the high air temperature allowed for the safe operation of the motor is 40 C. The motor has built-in two PTC sensors (KTY84-130).
