The MAF130C-0200-FQ-M0-AK0-05-A1 from Rexroth is a liquid-cooled asynchronous motor. The thread coupling on this motor is 1/4". To supply the MAF motors with cooling liquid, you will need additional installation material, e.g., hoses and fixing clamps. These are not included in the delivery of the motor. Select the supply hose with the correct inner diameter (di) so that it perfectly fits the inlet of the liquid cooling, preventing spillage. Although the motor is IP 65-rated, it should be able to protect itself from damage due to liquid.
The MAF130C-0200-FQ-M0-AK0-05-A1 has a speed rating of 2000 rotations per minute, and to track the rotation of the shaft, this motor features a multiturn absolute encoder that not only tracks the number of steps the shaft has rotated but also tracks the number of rotations the shaft has turned. The number of increments or steps that register one complete turn is 512 increments. This AC motor has a balanced shaft key with a half-cut on it. The half-cut allows this motor to lock onto other components easily, making transferring torque much easier as there is more area for the attached component to latch onto.
This motor does not feature a holding brake to prevent the shaft from rotating freely once the power is cut off, which is a disadvantage when choosing this configuration. The holding brake keeps the shaft secured to prevent the motor from suddenly slipping away from its requested position. This motor can be mounted on other parts using a flange mount considering both the flanges are compatible with each other. The flange mount helps keep the motor in place securely and also reduces vibrations to some extent.
